An anonymized hash from your email goes to Gravatar. This checks whether you have a Gravatar account. The privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. We approve your comment first. After that, your profile picture appears next to it. The public can see this picture.

Suggested text: Images with EXIF GPS data should not be uploaded to your site. Any visitor has the ability to download these files. Location information can be extracted from them easily. Sensitive data sits embedded in such images. This creates a privacy concern for you.
